| Hello snail mail lovers, are you crazy for color as I am? This is a perfect opportunity for color lovers and above all, challenging! Jump in, you only need to pick a color and create a lovely combination of flat goodies, using a variety of hues and shades in the same color family of your selected color. This is a receiver's choice swap so how does this work?
After you join the swap, you will come to post in the swap's page your comment, listing your 5 favorite colors from where your senders would pick a choice to prepare their mail with (if you don't list your colors, I will remove you from the swap without a notice. To me, reading is a very important part of swapping and following instructions is a proof that you are paying attention) How does it work for the senders?
After partners are assigned, you will come back to the swap's page to check the list of colors your receivers posted. From the list pick 1 color and prepare an envelope with flat goodies that are within the same range of your selected color Basics for everyone
Minimum 6 different flat goodies Only perfect condition and/or new Items can be store-bought and/or handmade if they are beautifully done Monochromatic means you will include goodies within the same color/tone/shade/hues of selected color You must decorate your envelope using your chosen color as the kick start for your partner's color visual journey. Make it special (anything goes... beautiful lettering, hand-drawn details, stamps, patterned paper, washi tape, paintβ¦) Please add a note with your SB ID, the swap name and tell why you picked 'that color' from your partner's list Suggestions
Not sure what to include? What about stickers, notecards, postcards, a sweet recipe that corresponds to your color theme and written on paper of the same color like blueberry pie for blue mail or banana cake for yellow mail or cherry cookies for red mail, etc; journal bits, ribbon, lace, paper to write, envelope, fabric scraps, fabric patches, ATCs, book pages, ephemera, altered paper pieces, possibilities are endless! If you add extras, they must be monochromatic as well and on the same tone you picked for that partner This swap is all about getting creative. Exchanging 'stuff' is always nice but the main focus is to provide a visual experience to your partners Notes
This is a group swap but I still reserve the right to ban you if I believe is in the best interest of the participants I angel all my swaps Vase and Apples by Seamus Berkeley Your messages, comments, suggestions & questions are more than WELCOME |
