Your ideas are amazing!! We shall have to do this once these shrine swaps are over and done with. I want to branch out into bigger shrines. I fear I maybe fallen into the tiny shrine rut! Have you tried matchbox shrines? <-- those are fun. Here's hoping we connect again on here!
I think those soap boxes would be awesome! I'm going to try that for my next one. In making my first 3D shrine I looked at everything as a potential base. I finally settled on a wooden frame with a deep inset because it went with the theme, but I did want something that would open and close.
I'm GREEN with envy at your wonderful storage items. Makes me want to run out to The Container Store immediately. Unfortunately, the nearest one is 69 miles away.
Great swap idea! And, yes, it's easy to become addicted. Took me about a minute. And now that I'm venturing into the more challenging swaps (shrines, tip-ins, dolls) I'm ALWAYS thinking about it. Have a good weekend!
